Casa Ikal Sian Kaan Tulum

Casa Ikal sits a mile north of the Boca Paila bridge in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere, about twenty minutes' drive from Tulum — far enough for empty beach, close enough for dinner in town. The villa's signature is its rooftop: hardwood decking, green roofs, and a double infinity pool lit by fibre-optic lighting after dark, looking across the sea on one side and the lagoon on the other. Below, an open-plan living and dining space flows into a fully fitted kitchen, with windows framing water and vegetation in every direction. Four en-suite bedrooms sleep eight, arranged for privacy, with a fifth bathroom off the shared spaces. Direct private beach access leads to the sand, and the nearby coral reef and old Mayan canals give the stay its excursions — snorkeling straight off the beach, drifting channels traders used a thousand years ago.
