Casa Yakunah stands seven kilometres inside the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, with around one hundred metres of private beachfront and nothing commercial in sight. The villa generates its own power from solar and wind and harvests rainwater, so modern comfort — air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, cool interiors — runs off-grid, in step with the reserve around it.
