Casa Coco Beach Zone Tulum

Casa Coco is built from wood, stone and fibre, which lets it read as organic on a stretch of the Hotel Zone where the neighbouring houses read glossy.

The living rooms face the Caribbean through large windows that pull the sea and the light deep into the house. An infinity pool holds the terrace, and tropical gardens wrap the property for privacy. The beach is directly accessible with no road in between.

Ten guests sleep across five bedrooms, each with a bathroom. The principal room has panoramic ocean views and a soaking tub, which turns an ordinary hour of the day into something people talk about.

A table sits outside open to the breeze, the kitchen is fully equipped, and security, housekeeping, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi run underneath it all.

The scale suits family gatherings and smaller celebrations.

The argument for this house is texture. It feels grown from its coast rather than dropped onto it.
