El Gastón Tulum at a glance
Region 15 sits inland of Tulum, residential and wooded, and El Gastón occupies a gated portion of it under continuous guard. The property accommodates eighteen in seven bedrooms and is staffed throughout.
Its character is deliberately performative. Roman references run through the architecture – fortified walls, a chandelier salon, a Roman bath jacuzzi accommodating eight – and the entertainment provision goes well past convention: a speakeasy-styled bar incorporating a performance stage with viewing balconies above, a swimming pool modelled on a cenote and fitted with both waterfall and stage, and a subterranean bedroom enclosed in glass against an aquarium. Aerial silks and a swing are installed on site.
The household team runs to a butler, a private chef and a concierge, with cleaning carried out daily and security posted in the evenings – independent of the community’s own round-the-clock guarding.
Designed around group travel
Indoor Living
Seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and two half baths besides. Air conditioning is installed throughout and there is a fireplace. Recreational provision is the distinguishing element: speakeasy bar with stage and balconies, cinema, library, billiard lounge, chandelier salon incorporating a koi pond, and the subterranean aquarium bedroom. Kitchen equipment covers refrigeration, an oven and hob, a microwave, blender, kettle and toaster, coffee-making apparatus, tableware and a dining table. Laundry and pressing facilities are provided. Wireless internet throughout. Smoking is prohibited.
Outdoor Living
The principal pool is modelled on a cenote and incorporates a waterfall and a stage, with cabanas arranged around it. The Roman bath accommodates eight bathers, while bedroom 7 retains a hot tub of its own. A roof deck above offers lounge provision and a jungle outlook. Silks and a swing are fixed on the grounds. The site lies within a community secured 24 hours.
Bedrooms
Seven en-suite rooms rated to eighteen occupants, with two additional half bathrooms. Rooms 1 and 3 each pair a king with a double sofa bed; rooms 2 and 4 are king alone; room 5 is disputed; room 6 is queen; room 7 is king and retains a private hot tub.
On room 5 the owner's two schedules conflict - one specifies a king, the other a pair of queens. Only the king reading produces the advertised eighteen; the alternative gives twenty. Written confirmation is obtained before any maximum-occupancy booking.
The subterranean aquarium bedroom is not assigned a number in the owner's material; we establish which room it is on request.

Thinking beyond a stay?
Many of the residences we rent are privately owned, and they often change hands quietly between owners rather than being listed publicly. If ownership is something you would consider, we handle that side too.
