Casa Buena Suerte Soliman Bay Tulum

The three-generation trip is the hardest one to book well, and Casa Buena Suerte is set up for it. Six bedrooms, sixteen guests, seven bathrooms, and the shared spaces at ground level so that grandparents stay in the conversation instead of negotiating stairs to reach it.

The water helps as much as the house does. Soliman Bay is reef-sheltered, and the shallows in front stay calm enough for children and slower swimmers, which is not true of the open beaches south of Tulum.

Interiors are contemporary and heavily glazed, so the living areas hold light all day. Outside there is a private pool, shaded seating and a dining table, with the beach beginning past the terrace.

The extras earn their keep with a mixed-age group. A gym for the early risers, a home theatre for the teenagers, in-villa spa treatments for everyone else, and housekeeping daily so nobody spends the holiday tidying.

The kitchen works either way, self-catered or handed to a chef on request for the week. With arrivals and planning managed in advance, the multi-generational trip tends to run more smoothly here than it does at home.
