Cozumel Mayan Heritage By Jeep

Have fun driving the island of Cozumel aboard a 4×4 Jeep! First, we visit our beach club at Punta Sur Eco-Park, where you can snorkel and enjoy the spectacular fine-sand beach. Here we offer a buffet-style meal, including bottled water, soda, and a couple of beers if you’re not driving.

Next, aboard your 4×4, we move to the Celarain Lighthouse, where the top offers privileged views of the Caribbean Sea and Laguna Colombia — or, if you prefer, visit the small maritime museum on site. We also visit the Mayan sanctuary ‘El Caracol’ and Laguna Colombia, then continue to the wonderful Pueblo del Maiz, where you’ll step back in time through the smells, tastes, colors, and daily life, culture, and traditions of the Mayan communities in pre-Hispanic times. At the end of the day you’ll have a short time to walk around the island’s downtown and take some pictures.

A $25 USD parks fee is not included in the price above and should be paid at check-in.

The minimum age to drive is 21, with a valid driver’s license required. For safety reasons, alcoholic beverages are not offered to drivers. Pregnant travelers, guests with certain types of asthma, or anyone who does not know how to swim will not be able to do the snorkeling activity.
