Right on Akumal’s main bay, the one famous for snorkeling with sea turtles, Villa AK is about 20 steps from the water and an easy walk from Akumal’s restaurants and shops. Its walled tropical garden keeps the property private and secure, and the house itself mixes Moorish and Mediterranean style in local stone.
Six bedrooms with six and a half bathrooms sleep up to 13, spread across the main house, three poolside rooms and a two-bedroom guesthouse with its own kitchen by the gate. Housekeeping comes six days a week (not Sundays) and there is a night guard. Groups using only three or four bedrooms can ask for a lower rate.

Indoor Living
The main house has a dining room, full kitchen and powder room, and the guesthouse its own full kitchen. Each bedroom is air-conditioned with an en-suite bathroom and Sky TV; the living spaces rely on natural ventilation rather than air conditioning. A crib, high chair and drinking water are provided.
Outdoor Living
The garden pool is framed by the poolside bedrooms, with loungers, a BBQ and an outdoor shower. Upstairs, a rooftop terrace overlooks the bay, and beach chairs are ready for the sand a few steps away. A covered garage takes three cars.
